"Zemgale"

Zemgale is the historical area of Latvia, named after the Zemgals, an ancient Baltic tribe.

Here in Zemgale is located the famous Rundāle Palace of the design of Bartolomeo Rastrelli. Also in Jelgava, the former capital of The Duchy of Courland and Semigallia is one more famous work of B.Rastrelli, the Jelgava palace.

The interior of the guestroom “Zemgale “ is of tender rose colors also in a certain way reminds of the luxury hall of the old palace. Its main emphasis is the huge woven cloth panel in rose and violet colors , hand woven with tremendous love by the Latvian women.
