Light House Jurmala Grand opening
It was raining cats and dogs, but even this ugly weather couldn’t spoil a real festivity. After all – rain is a good sign, and it stopped pouring soon, leaving all seven colours of rainbow to be admired by the invited public.
The ribbon was successfully cut, a string of white balloons shot up into the skies, and owners of the hotel – Svetlana, Andris and Arthur Dzenis managed to surprise even those, who had already seen the hotel. The interior of each of the eleven rooms, furnished in particular national style, was supplemented with exclusive snacks from the chef Salvis Putāns. Thus, cheese and French wines were offered in the room „France”, „Russia” treated guests with vodka, caviar and pickled cucumbers, „paella” was awaiting for public in front of the room „Spain’, while native Thailand staff offered Thai massage in the room „Thailand”. Refreshments of Latvian cuisine was the greatest success: goat – milk cheese from Madona, home - made butter and bread, turned out to be the most popular snacks. Even a grilled duckling, baked on the ship – wheel styled grill, at the upper deck couldn’t compete it. Many of the guests made reservations at the cosy restaurant of the hotel, as the snacks served, were so appetizing.
Merry competitions with presents for the winners, greetings of the guests, family performance of the owners, live music and charming sunset made this opening truly unusual and memorable.
It should be noted, that „Light House Jūrmala” is the first hotel in Jūrmala, which can take pride in possessing its own beach: lighthouse, structured in white stone right on the sandy beach represents it. We believe - the client should always have privilege of getting his own place under the sun, especially in case of Baltic sun…………..
